The Local Church Was Planted for Its Community
The local church was never meant to simply exist in a community. It was planted there for that community.
Too often, churches see poverty, addiction, struggling families, or other challenges around them and assume someone else will respond. But transformation begins when the church recognizes these needs as part of its mission field.
We have seen that lasting change does not come from outsiders arriving with all the answers. It begins when local churches identify the needs of their own communities and are equipped to respond. This creates ownership rather than dependency.
Through Life in Abundance, churches are trained in biblical development principles and empowered to serve their communities in sustainable ways. Over time, outside support steps back so the church can continue the work on its own.
Jesus modeled this approach with His disciples. He taught them, equipped them, and then sent them out to carry the mission forward.
When the local church embraces that same calling, transformation multiplies. One church influences another, communities begin to change, and global partners can come alongside local leaders without replacing them.
We believe the local church is God’s chosen vessel for transformation. When churches take responsibility for the needs around them and step out in faith, lives are changed, and communities are restored.
