We didn’t set out to write a book.
In fact, if you asked us years ago if we had plans to become authors, the answer would’ve been no. Our focus wasn’t on publishing. It was on obedience, doing what the Lord had called us to do.
For decades, we simply followed His lead. We plowed the ground. We walked in faith, often without knowing exactly where it would take us. The work that helped create the book Teach a Man to Fish, wasn’t glamorous, but it was fruitful. Little by little, through everyday faithfulness, the Lord taught us how to labor in the field of ministry with vision, endurance, and purpose.
Looking Back: Lessons from 30 Years of Ministry
When we finally paused to reflect, five, ten, even thirty years later, we were humbled by what God had done. Through every season, He had been shaping us, teaching us, and building something much bigger than we could have seen in the moment.
That’s when we realized: these lessons aren’t just for us. They’re for every pastor, missionary, church planter, or ministry leader working in the same soil, those who are committed to long-term, sustainable, gospel-centered impact.
So we wrote the book Teach a Man to Fish.
Sharing Principles That Multiply
This book, Teach a Man to Fish, is our way of putting into words the principles God taught us along the way. It includes the strategies that have borne real fruit in our ministry and the moments that revealed the deeper truth about what it means to disciple others well.
Our goal? To encourage and equip fellow believers with a heart for missions and ministry. We wanted to pass along what we’ve learned, so others can go further, faster, and with greater clarity for the glory of God.
